‘Captain Underpants’ | Coming To Theatres | No Joke ‘Change Is Coming’

A Superhero can come in all shapes and sizes but this is the one hero where you can’t help but say ‘really?’. However, it is happening, a Captain Underpants movie is on its way.

Released via the official 20th Century Fox UK twitter page, a theatrical movie poster of the questionable superhero in his underpants has been revealed to us all.

 

 

Produced by 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks the poster titled ‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie’ shows the image of our hero on top of a building in nothing but his cape and underpants As he stares at a rip off batman bat signal.

Also, what can only be imagined as the slogan for the movie the words:

 

‘Change is coming’

 

This is a brilliant slogan by the way as we can’t tell if they are referring to a change of underwear or type of superhero,  probably both though really.

For those thinking this is all one big huge joke, well, we have got news for you, Captain Underpants is real.

The upcoming movie is based on the novels by Dav Pikey. The series itself is focused on fourth graders, George Beard and Harold Hutchins. Captain Underpants is a superhero from their handmade comic book but becomes real when they hypnotise their school principal, Mr Krupp.

How successful have has this series been? Well, the series is several books long (double digit style), has had several spin-offs, won awards, been converted to several other languages and has sold millions of copies.

Set to feature the voices of Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Nick Kroll and Thomas Middleditch. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie is scheduled for release later this year on June 2nd.
