The latest Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser trailer is out and it looks like a fitting tribute to the late David Bowie as it features a track from the late rock star.
Guardians director James Gunn, who, when David Bowie passed, wrote a long tribute on how the rock star influenced much of both his personal and work life has released a teaser trailer featuring one of Bowie’s tracks in what we can only imagine is a tribute to him.
Who chooses the tracks is pretty vague but, while we are certain it is a group effort ultimately we suspect the director gets the final nod.
Music choice is a huge thing for any movie but for the Guardians it’s an even bigger thing. Heck, a Guardians of the Galaxy music album was released shortly after the first movie it was that popular.
It’s even one of the main things that people want to see in the latest movie.
Therefore to have one your music pieces selected is a huge honour in our opinion.
Bowie already had a role to play with his ‘Moonage Daydream’ appearing in the first movie and it was believed that Gunn wanted Bowie to feature in a cameo appearance in this latest one, sadly that will never be, so, by featuring his track in this teaser it pays tribute to him.
The 30-second clip features scenes filled with explosions and action, much which we have seen from previous scenes, along with a couple newer shots.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Guardians of the Galaxy trailer without something to laugh at and Drax gave us that golden moment at the end when Mantis was hit with a fireball the following happens:
Star-Lord: “Oh Wow,”
Drax: “I know,” “That almost hit me.”
Have you seen the trailer? If so what was your best bit? What did you think of the music choice, was it a tribute to David Bowie? Leave a comment below to let us know your thoughts.
