Guardians Revealed: Loot Crate May 2017 Review

Sharing is caring!

Guardians have arrived at FanNews HQ in the form of this month’s Loot Crate and we are here to bring you all the details in our in-depth Loot Crate May 2017 Review.

This month was set with a Guardians theme and was announced prior to its release that it would contain items from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Star Wars, The Goonies and Destiny.

So let’s see what was in the box.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

An awesome tribute to the latest Marvel blockbuster movie, a Q-Fig made from QMx depicts little Baby Groot sitting on top of Rockets back as he has both guns in his hand.

This figurine has been crafted to an extremely high level of detail which makes it really stand out. From the mean look in Rockets eyes to the very happy look in Groot’s eyes to the surrounding rubble and smoke coming from Rockets gun.

A nice change from the usual POP Dolls this is a great addition to any Guardians of the Galaxy fan.

Destiny

Get ready to see Destiny fans walking around proud as they show off their exclusive embroidered patches.

One to represent each class, Hunter, Warlock and Titan, fans can either iron or sew these patches onto their favourite jacket or simply keep them on display as they came in specialised packaging.

Either way, this is a high-quality item included in the crate and certainly something to treasure.

The Goonies

Who here didn’t watch The Goonies when growing up? If you didn’t, shame on you and go watch it.

The Goonies was a childhood classic and still brings back fond memories and this month’s t-shirt did just that as it displays the ever famous motto ‘The Goonies, Never Say Die’ and along with the motto is that famous skull and crossbones.

This month’s wearable is certainly bound to bring not only a smile to your face but everyone who will see you wear it.

 Star Wars

Star Wars is the last major item within the crate and us here at the office are honestly not too sure about it.

The Star Wars adult colouring book and colouring pencils, featuring and exclusively designed cover, is what we discovered. Inside are 30 images just waiting to be coloured in by yours truly.

Now while this is a wonderful item and colouring has been proved to have many benefits, such as stress relief, brain stimulation etc. The reason I am not too sure about it is that I might just have a small problem doing too much colouring and not enough work.

The Small Things

Within every crate, we have the small things as well. We have the pin, the mag, the key and the box.

The Loot Pin features the one and only Aang from The Last Airbender and has the unique feature of being able to glow in the dark.

The Loot Mag contains everything you need to know about the items along with free digital comic book codes, this month for Rocket Raccoon #1 and Groot #1.

The mystery of the Keys continued as more puzzles had to be solved for the bonus loot and the Box transformed to the one and only Ghost.

So That’s It

That’s it. This month crate has been opened and revealed. What did you think? What was your favourite item?
