Kiri, what is it all about?
Kiri is centred on Miriam, an experienced social worker who is caught up in a police investigation when a young girl named Kiri disappears during a supervised visit. This powerful four-part drama will follow and investigate all of those involved and put everyone under the microscope.
When does Kiri start?
Kiri is scheduled, to begin with the premiere episode on Wednesday 10th January, 9 pm UK time on Channel 4. It will also be available via the Hulu streaming service for international viewers.

Who will appear in Kiri?
Coronation Street and Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire will be appearing as Miriam.
Lucian Msamati, who has appeared in Taboo, Game of Thrones and Luther will be playing the role of Kiri’s Grandfather. Msmati’s character will find that throughout the series both his family and race are put under the microscope.
Fans of The Crown will also get a treat as Lia Williams will be appearing in the drama as she plays the role of Kiri’s foster mum.

Writer Jack Thorne spoke recently about the upcoming drama where he had the following to say;
“My Mum spent most of her life in the caring professions and I’ve always wanted to find a way of examining the pressures they are put under. I’m so grateful as always for the bravery and brilliance of Channel 4 in being prepared to look these issues in the face.”
Is Kiri worth watching?
Kiri is 100%, without a doubt, worth a watch. The series promises to be a very powerful drama that will have you hooked from the beginning. The cast assembled for the series is first class and Thorne is proven in creating compelling and acclaimed work.
Make a note of the date and be sure to watch the premiere, you will not be disappointed.
