Two new movie posters for Kong: Skull Island and some sneak teaser trailer footage were released today, November 16th, and they give a truly dark and thought provoking insight on what is to come.
Kong: Skull Island is set to be released in March 2017. The plot of the movie is centered on the origin of Kong himself and is directed by Jordon Vogt-Roberts and features stars such as Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston.
Two new posters were shared via twitter earlier today and both contain images of the King himself. Both sets of give a very serious and dark presence around Kong indicating that this will not be a lighthearted movie.

The first poster shows what appears to be a furious Kong. His size is emphasised by the use of the surrounding mountains and sun raising questions on how much the little advancing soldiers and helicopters can do to him.
The second poster is by far the most impressive. The poster is filled completely by Kong’s head as a lone helicopter goes by. The poster shows the great amount of detail of Kong’s features which gives us an idea of how much effort they have gone into replicating him. It also brings questions on what is about to happen to that little helicopter.
Sneak footage was also released earlier today. The footage lasts only seconds but that is all is needed to leave a lasting impression. Footage shows the land being consumed by fire just before a gigantic beast emerges from the water at which point the footage ends.
