New “Star Wars Rebels” Mid-Season Trailer Contains Big Reveal

“Star War Rebels” just dropped a massive bombshell by releasing a new mid-season trailer within days of the show going back on the air.

“Star Wars Rebels”, which began in 2014, is a 3D CGI animation TV series set approximately fourteen years after “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” and five years before “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”. The new midseason trailer for season 3 hit the internet with the show due to resume on the 7th January on the Disney XD channel and it has got fans extremely excited for its return.

The trailer begins with our main character, Ezra, being awoken by the warning message, which featured in the pilot episode, by Obi-Wan Kenobi. What then follows is a quick procession of varies scenes featuring both the Empire and Rebel Alliance with a first glimpse appearance of Mon Mothma.

From then on the juicy parts of the trailer really begin. The legendary “Mandalorian Darksaber”, which we were first introduced to in the animated series “Star Wars The Clone Wars”, makes an appearance being wielded by none other than Sabine along with even more space battles showing this will be an action-packed season.

Despite all of this it was the very last few seconds (ten seconds at most) that really got fans attention and is what is really them excited. Obi-Wan Kenobi is revealed.

Obi-Wan, or Old Ben as he would most likely be now, is introduced sitting down stoking a fire pit. Darth Maul can then be seen approaching hinting at, an even more exciting possibility, a rematch. This on-going feud that began so long ago in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” is something that fans have wanted to see come to a conclusion for some time.

Have you watched the trailer? What do you think? Are we going to see a match between Obi-Wan and Maul or was it just some mean cutting of the trailer to get us really exciting?
